This workshop will introduce the NSF Early Career Development Award (CAREER), NSF-22-586.
The workshop will provide information about the program requirements, including expert writing strategies and effective approaches for developing this prestigious proposal. We will also discuss the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE). The format includes a presentation, followed by discussion and Q&A. Participants will leave with an action plan, outline for the organizational structure of the Project Description, and other valuable resources.
While we may generally discuss budget and other elements of research administration, this workshop focuses on the 15-page Project Description, including Merit Review (Broader Impacts, Intellectual Merit), educational plans, outreach and the integration of education and research.
